CFL long snapper Ryan King goes all William Tell!
The tale of William Tell, if you haven’t heard, is story of man who was brilliant with a bow and arrow. As the story goes, to save his son from execution, Tell had to use his bow and arrow to shoot an apple placed upon his boy’s head. Tell would split the apple in two.
Enter CFL long snapper and special teams player Ryan King of the Edmonton Eskimos.
Please don’t stop reading cause it’s a CFL player not a NFL player doing the amazing trick. This article is not a comparison of the two leagues. This article is pointing out a really cool thing by somebody that just happens to be a CFL’er.
I really hope that the video was done in one take!
If it wasn’t, I wonder how many kids King could get to volunteer to assume the position of sitting duck? I suppose you could bribe kids with getting a free can of pop for participating.
The CFL exhibition season kicks off on Monday, June 8th. Former St. Louis Rams and Dallas Cowboys linebacker Michael Sam has his preseason debut on Saturday, June 13th.
This video should be deemed as a challenge to all long snappers. Imagine the creativity that the union of long snappers could come up with as they tried to outduel each other, all the while proving how pinpoint their accuracy is.
