Rangers forward Chris Kreider got absolutely rocked by Lightning defenseman Matt Carle.

Physical doesn’t even begin to describe playoff hockey.

When it comes to Game 7, the players on the ice are essentially gladiators.

Unfortunately for Rangers forward Chris Kreider, he got leveled by a monster hit on the ice courtesy of Matt Carle.

As Kreider was skating up ice, he had his head turned and didn’t see Carle waiting for him, which was a huge mistake.

Carle absolutely took his head off as he hit him with the huge blow as his body crashed to the ice.

Look again how his head snaps back as he wasn’t expecting Carle to be there and smash him into oblivion.

With it being Game 7, everything is on the line, and Kreider should know better than looking away from a defenseman.

When you have the puck and large bodies are coming at you full speed to take you, it’s best you probably have your head on a swivel.

If not, the end result is most likely going to look like what just happened to Kreider, and that is not a good thing for anyone.

He’s going to be feeling that nice shot from Carle for a while after this one.
