The Cleveland Cavaliers are trying to win the NBA Finals, and Kyrie Irving is balling hard — but is he playing within the rules?

There are few players on the rise like Kyrie Irving is, as he’s played sparingly in the Cavaliers last few games but he’s also managed to take leaps forward in his game. There was no playoff transition for Kyrie Irving, as he came out like a pro in the first-round and has been growing exponentially ever since then.

It’s not just his scoring that has been impressive to watch, but also Irving’s ball handling ability. Sometimes though, Irving skates around the rules and turns fans already rooting against him even more enraged with him.

Kyrie Irving has some slick moves, but this went above and beyond physics — and possibly the rule book.

It certainly looks like Kyrie Irving traveled in transition after his steal, but it wasn’t called. That didn’t stop some fans from freaking out on Twitter.

It actually wasn’t a travel — because it wasn’t called. Basketball players do this all the time and it’s not that surprising to see momentum carry a player for more than two steps. If it’s not obvious, it’s not called, but there’s grey area here that protects Kyrie Irving from being called for traveling.

Try telling that to Warriors fans though, who prefer their scoring done from a distance and well within the rules.
