Floyd Mayweather is still the undisputed boxing champion of the world, and he’s calling out the younger generation on his way out the door.

When Floyd Mayweather defeated Manny Pacquiao in the lamest ‘Fight of the Century’ ever, fans were outraged over having waited six years for what amounted to a few punches and a lot of dancing around. May weather won the fight and is no 48-0 in his career, and rumors have swirled that he’s going to retire after his next Showtime contracted fight in September.

Should Mayweather win that fight — or even if he loses — people will clamor for more as he tries to reach 50-career wins. It’s already starting to sound like Mayweather won’t end at 49 fights, as he’s calling out boxers left and right in an effort to rile up fans everywhere.

Earlier in the week, Mayweather called out Oscar De La Hoya, saying he’s fight the former champion if he’d clean himself up and come out of retirement. It’s not just older boxers that Mayweather is calling out though, as he set his targets on the most popular young boxer currently fighting his way up in the world.

Mayweather called out Gennady Golovkin, also know as Triple G, saying that the boxer wouldn’t last in the ring with Money.

If Floyd Mayweather really wants to be the undisputed champion of the world and etch his name among the greatest fighters ever, he needs to put his money where his mouth is.

The Pacqiuao fight would have been great to see six years ago, but what we ended up getting was short of a sham. May weather fighting De La Hoya would be interesting, but it would be a novelty charity fight rather than a true bout. If the champ steps into the ring with Triple G though, things could get interesting.

Just like the Pacquiao fight, a bout with Triple G will either never happen or occur at a time when Mayweather is too washed up to be a real contender. If Floyd wants to make up for the money we all lost in paying for his fight against Pacquiao though, this is the fight that would do that.
