The Sacramento Kings are embroiled in some offseason drama, and it’s looking like the front office is going to have to choose sides: George Karl or DeMarcus Cousins.

As the NBA Draft approaches, the Sacramento Kings are again looking at ways they can fix their franchise. It’s been eons since their controversial trip to the Western Conference Finals, and things need to be fixed sooner rather than later. That seemed to start with the firing of Mike Malone and the hiring of George Karl but things have yet to truly latch on in Sacramento.

What compounds the issue of fixing the Kings is the stalemate that George Karl and DeMarcus Cousins seem to be at after reports that trade talks have heated up before the NBA Draft.

It’s hard to understand what to believe with all of the reports coming out that seem to contradict themselves, but what ultimately matters is the happiness of DeMarcus Cousins.

If you haven’t heard, Cousins isn’t currently happy.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, reports coming out of Sacramento that the Kings aren’t looking to trade Cousins are bunk since George Karl is the champion behind the idea of trading the All-Star center.

This is going to come down to one of two things: will the Kings decide to fire Karl to keep Cousins happy or trade Cousins to keep Karl happy?
