On Tuesday morning we were brought the news that former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb was recently popped for his second DUI incident back on June 28. While details are still coming out at this time, there are some people that are genuinely concerned about the well-being of McNabb, considering this isn’t his first DUI offense.

One of the people that has expressed concern for McNabb is none other than former teammate –and the man he got along with oh so well when they played together– Terrell Owens.

Yes, TMZ Sports was able to catch up with Owens following the news, and he expressed genuine concern about the road McNabb is going down when it comes to drinking and driving.

“DUI is a very serious thing. The number of lives that have been lost from it are staggering. It’s a blessing no one was hurt.” Owens told TMZ.

Then, he had some short yet smart advice for his former Eagles teammate.

“Next time, call Uber.” He said.

Hey, regardless of what you think of Terrell Owens, who at one time was the most polarizing personality in the entire NFL, he’s not wrong in anything that he said here. With this being the second DUI McNabb has been subject to, something definitely needs to be addressed because he clearly didn’t get the message the first time.

Owens and McNabb played with one another from 2004-05, and they even were able to make a trip to the Super Bowl with one another. However, that journey didn’t end with the Lombardi Trophy, as the Eagles were defeated by the New England Patriots. Their relationship together in Philadelphia was pretty much marred by controversy, after everyone thought they might be a match made in football heaven.
