Basketball Twitter is a really passionate social media zone, one that is sometimes engulfed in full-on dance-off wars.

When the NBA offseason reaches August, it’s usually a dead zone of nothing fun happening. Training camps don’t open yet, the Summer League is over and free agency is a barren wasteland of the unloved and unwanted souls in NBA. That means we’re all in need of some summer entertainment, something that basketball twitter has provided us.

Things all started when the Golden State Warriors tweeted out a GIF of Steph Curry, mentioning that they can’t wait until the season starts. This incited a basketball twitter riot, consisting of an endless string of GIFs and dance moves.

The 76ers were the first to answer the call and all hell broke loose after that.

Once you start down the rabbit hole of basketball twitter GIF wars, there is no end to the party.

The madness literally never ends. While some teams are celebrating the end of the offseason, others are just straight up engaged in a GIF dance off we’re all enjoying.

The San Diego Chargers tried to get in on the fun — since nothing really ever happens with the Chargers — but they were blocked and mocked, like always.

Basically, basketball Twitter has no chill and it the greatest place on Earth.
