With the departure of DeMarco Murray to the Philadelphia Eagles and the news on Thursday that Darren McFadden is not all that healthy, it’s pretty safe to say that running back is not the most stable position right now for the Dallas Cowboys. With that being the case, one may think that they’re looking for some help in the backfield before the season starts.
Well, if they’re interested, apparently there’s a 32-year-old veteran on the market that is more than willing to help them with their little issue here.
Steven Jackson was more than happy to take to Twitter to express to the Cowboys that not only is he available, but he’d be happy to help them with rectifying this situation.
Well, I mean, they certainly can use the help in the backfield, so would it really be all that bad of an idea? When you really sit down and think about it, it certainly can’t hurt to explore the option. Having a veteran presence the likes of Jackson to help fill the void of losing the league’s leading rusher last season could have its benefits.
Jackson is a nine-year veteran in the NFL, having rushed for 11,388 yards and 68 touchdowns for both the St. Louis Rams and Atlanta Falcons combined.
