Philadelphia fans can sometimes receive a reputation for being some of the most cold-hearted people on the planet. However, then there are moments like what happened on Tuesday night that remind us they remember and appreciate what some players have given to them over the years.

Such as former shortstop Jimmy Rollins.

In the grand scheme of things, Jimmy Rollins is one of the greatest players in the history of the Philadelphia Phillies. He spent the first 15 years of his career with the Phillies, helping them to a World Series title in 2008 and then another appearance on the big stage in baseball the following year where they lost to the Yankees. He was consistently one of the best players on the roster and gave his all to the team.

But, after last season, it was time for him to move on and he did just that, heading out to play for Los Angeles and the Dodgers. Well, on Tuesday night, he made his return to Philly and the fans gave him one of the best welcomes he could have asked for when he stepped up to the plate.

In reality, after all he had done for the organization throughout the years, there was really no other response that this man deserved from the Philadelphia fans.
