Complete list of PGA Championship winners throughout the tournament’s history
A complete look at the all-time winners list of golf’s fourth major, the PGA Championship.
Golf’s fourth and final major, the PGA Championship, is upon us. This year’s event will be held at Whistling Straights in Haven, Wisconsin. It’s the third time the tournament has been held at Whistling Straights (2004, 2010). After dropping out of the British Open due to a foot injury, defending champion Rory McIlroy has announced that he’s ready to defend his claim to the Wanamaker Trophy – one of the sport’s best prizes.
The PGA Championship has been held annually since 1916, with only three off years. In only its second and third years (1917-18) the Championship was canceled due to World War I. It was also canceled in 1943 due to World War II.
Like most of golf’s majors, the PGA Championship is a who’s who of winners – Nicklaus, Snead, Woods, McIlroy, Hogan. Here’s a look at all the past winners through the 2014 tournament.
