A look at the Brooklyn Nets’ schedule for the 2015-16 NBA season.

The Brooklyn Nets were barely able to skate into the NBA Playoffs last season. After middling around the seventh and eighth seeds in the Eastern Conference for much of the year, the Nets needed a loss by the Indiana Pacers to ultimately clinch the final postseason berth in the East. That’s a pretty fair microcosm of the Nets these days.

2014-15 ended with a 4-2 series loss to the Atlanta Hawks in the first round for the Nets. Frankly, the way the Nets played in that series to grab two games from Atlanta shocked a number of people around the league. However, the franchise has now pretty clearly moved onto phase 2 after seeing their moves this offseason.

Perhaps their biggest and most important move of the offseason was the buyout of Deron Williams. Brooklyn went into the offseason with the clear intentions of trying to trade either Williams or Joe Johnson. When that plan failed, they resorted to another means of getting Williams’ albatross contract off the books.

In addition to letting Williams go, the Nets were also able to re-sign both Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young this summer, another one of the big objectives for the front office. Though it doesn’t shock the world in terms of impact, it was a step that needed to be taken for the franchise to continue into this next era.

Outside of that and the signing of Andrea Bargnani, most of the Nets’ moves on the free agency market were inconsequential. The only other big addition was in the draft where the Nets were able to nab Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. While he may not be an immediate help to Brooklyn, he has the upside to again help the organization in the future.

With all of these moves, it’ll be a slightly different look for Brooklyn this season. Here’s the schedule this new-look Nets team will have to run through:
