The Philadelphia Eagles need to figure out their quarterback situation and Skip Bayless thinks that Tim Tebow is the scary answer they need.

When the Philadelphia Eagles enter the offseason each year with Chip Kelly as head coach, you know something crazy is going to happen. Whether it’s trading for Sam Bradford, trading away LeSean McCoy or cutting players like DeSean Jackson and Evan Mathis, Chip Kelly is never going to stop being an insane person with roster control.

That was wholly proven when he signed Tim Tebow to a contract this offseason and things seem to actually be working out alright. There’s no guarantee that Tebow makes the roster, but it’s looking more and more like the Eagles might carry him over to the regular season roster.

If that happens, Skip Bayless is going to be afraid of the Eagles. He tweeted out on Wednesday that the Eagles scare him if Tim Tebow is under center as the starting quarterback.

The Eagles aren’t a scary team no matter what they have on the field, because that’s not the way they’re built to play. Philly isn’t a powerhouse team that is going to pound you into the ground with tenacious defense and rambunctious offense. Instead, they’re going to wear you out and win an endurance test against you — not in a scary way either.

But the idea of Tim Tebow being scary is even less plausible then the idea of the Eagles being a scary team. If Chip Kelly’s mad scientist routine was going to work, it would have already. Teams are starting to get faster and move quicker to keep up with the fast pace Eagles approach, and it’s soon going to be something that isn’t an advantage anymore.

Of course, having Tim Tebow as your quarterback is apparently always an advantage.
