R.I.P. Trevor Ariza’s street cred.

It was there for a moment, and then in the blink of an eye it was gone. Washed away amongst the oohs and aahhs of an overenthusiastic crowd, Trevor Ariza’s Drew League street cred has now been laid to rest.

This is all just a real flowery way of saying that Trevor Ariza went up for a dunk in a Drew League game and had his s–t absolutely thrown by Isaiah Thomas. Ariza tried to drop the baseline hammer on things, which was all fine and dandy until Thomas decided to climb the ladder have a block party.

Ariza: 6’8″. Thomas: 5’9″. Oof.

It’s been a nice little viral weekend for Thomas. Not two days ago, a teaser of him playing a pickup game (and talking a healthy amount of trash) with Floyd Mayweather stormed the Internet’s gates.

As for Ariza, he’ll come back from this. Just to be safe, though, we should probably pray that he gets his mojo back before the season starts in a few months.
