Welcome back to Last night in the WNBA Playoffs, a running post you’ll see throughout the next month or so as we march towards the crowning of a new WNBA champion.

Indiana Fever 66 – New York Liberty 51 (Fever win 2-1)

With their backs against the wall for the fourth time in this postseason, Tamika Catchings and company stood tall and staved off elimination. Now they’re going back to the WNBA Finals.

Back to Back playing before the game turned out to be prophetic, as the Fever got back to back victories to close out this series.

Spike Lee was in the building to continue his lifelong feud with basketball teams from the city of Indianapolis.

It was a rather ugly first quarter, but Shavonte Zellous did hit this nice step-back jumper.

You already know Tamika was ready to go. The Fever pulled away in the second quarter, and really never looked back.

The Liberty made a late charge in the fourth quarter, getting within striking distance, but just like that it was a double-digit deficit once again.

At that point it was all over.
