Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta says he touches his jersey to fix his nipple slipping out.

The Chicago Cubs are through to the National League Divisional Series after a win over the Pittsburgh Pirates in the Wild Card game. The Cubs won thanks in large part to starting pitcher Jake Arrieta, who threw a complete game shut out.

It was a masterful performance that certainly irked Pirates fans hoping to see their team win. One of Arrieta’s rituals on the mound was particularly annoying to a Pirates fan who asked why he touched his jersey so often on Twitter.

Arrieta, in the midst of celebrating the Cubs bring postseason baseball back to the Friendly Confines, took time out to respond to the fan on Twitter.

His explanation is logical, and also a bit bizarre and disturbing.

Well that’s something to think about.

Surely there has to be a different option for Arrieta if these tank tops can’t keep everything covered. There has to be some Nike Pro Combat type gear out there without sleeves that will do a better job.
