Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa launched two bombs on Monday in Game 4 against the Royals

If you were someone that thought the bright lights of the MLB postseason might be a little too much for Carlos Correa to handle, well, Monday afternoon was all the evidence you needed to prove you incorrect.

Sure, the Astros ended up blowing a pretty big lead in Game 4 of the ALDS against the Royals on Monday, forcing a Game 5, but Correa certainly did really all he could do to make sure that his team was in position to move on to the ALCS.

In the Game 4 loss, Correa launched not one, but two bombs that had the fans in Houston jumping out of their seats and pondering the bright future they have with this young man.

The first shot came in the bottom of the 3rd inning to tie the game at two.

And the second homer, a two-run shot, came in the bottom of the 7th inning to further the Astros’ lead to 5-2 at the time.

Yes, again, the Astros did not win the game and now their backs are against the wall, but you can’t deny how fun it is going to be watching this kid grow. Already you can see he’s on his way to being one of the best players in all of baseball, and seeing stuff like this on a big stage makes you really wonder what more is to come.
