Marcus Mariota commits four turnovers in awful game (Video)

Marcus Mariota had a game that he will want to forget against the Miami Dolphins.
The Tennessee Titans trail the Miami Dolphins, 24-10, in the fourth quarter. Mariota has been a major source of the team’s struggles since he has committed four turnovers. The rookie quarterback lost two fumbles earlier in the game, but the Titans dug themselves an even bigger hole after Mariota threw a pick-six to Dolphins safety Reshad Jones. This play perfectly illustrates how Mariota’s day has been.
Mariota has been held to 188 passing yards with a touchdown pass and two interceptions. The Dolphins defense has finally started playing to its potential after a disastrous start that led to head coach Joe Philbin’s firing. They held Mariota to no touchdown passes until garbage time began and the game was virtually out of reach.
The Titans quarterback had been playing well at the beginning of the season as he threw four touchdown passes in his NFL debut. Mariota went on to total 1,020 passing yards and eight touchdown passes against three interceptions in his first four games. This boosted his passer rating to 99.7 and put him in the conversation for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
There is still plenty of season left, but it appears that the Titans are headed for their fourth consecutive loss after opening the season with a blowout win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite his struggles against the Dolphins, Mariota continues to look like a superior quarterback to Buccaneers rookie Jameis Winston despite being drafted after him.
