Tom Brady is even trolling Rex Ryan when he calls an audible at the line

Rex Ryan is the head coach of the Buffalo Bills and, with his previous tenure as the head coach of the New York Jets, there’s never been any love lost between him and the New England Patriots as a whole. Bill Belichick and Tom Brady have never seemingly been fazed by Ryan’s antics, but they’ve persisted nonetheless. As the Bills and Patriots met on Monday Night Football in Week 11, Brady and Belichick had a little bit of trolling loaded for Ryan.

During the Patriots’ first offensive drive of the game, Brady walked up to the line and recognized the blitz that was coming. In an epic move of gamesmanship and trolling, Brady called an audible at the line-of-scrimmage by calling out “Rex Ryan:”

That’s just too perfect while also being the most Patriots thing possible. It’s a subtle dig at one of their rivals, but one that’s just as effective as something more vocal. How perfect for Brady and his team.

If you’re Rex Ryan, though, don’t you have to answer with your own audible calls. What if Tyrod Taylor gets to the line, sees the defense, and calls an audible by yelling “PSI” or “Headsets?” Sign me up for audible wars between Ryan and the Patriots.
