Fan poured beer on Marcus Thornton (Video)

Boston Celtics’ draft pick Marcus Thornton received a nice gesture during an NBL game, as an Australian poured a beer on him.

Marcus Thornton must be thirsty, because some fan gave him a beer.

Well, actually that fine decided to be a royal jackass and pour his beer on the Celtics’ draft pick for reason during an NBL game in Australia, where Thornton currently plays.

As Thornton was driving, he hit the floor hard and a fan sitting in the corporate seats behind him decided that Thornton was looking a little dehydrated and in need of a beverage. That’s when this fan had the grand idea to pour his beer over the head of Thornton.

Just listen to the reaction of the announcers, who sound like they just witnessed a murder.

Even worse is how the fan tried to act like it wasn’t him that poured the beer on Thornton during the game. He was scolded by the female with him and the two were escorted out of the arena.

Honestly, who goes to an arena and decides to pour beer on a player. Sure, maybe you don’t like a guy in the league, but this is the NBL with guys fighting for a livelihood, not overpaid superstars whining after receiving a loose-ball fould.

That’s just bad being a bad fan and most certainly will not be earning him any fan of the year awards anytime soon. That’s for certain.

Maybe everyone should pour a beer on his head, to see how he likes it.
