Ben Roethlisberger may have sustained a concussion.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are going to fall to 6-5 on the season, and they could be without quarterback Ben Roethlisberger going forward. Roethlisberger had to leave the game before the final two minutes to be evaluated for a concussion after taking a hard helmet-to-helmet hit in the fourth quarter from Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett.

Roethlisberger has been hurt so much this season, it is bordering on the incredible. The two-time Super Bowl champion sustained a brutal knee sprain in Week 3 against the St. Louis Rams before missing more than a month, giving way to Michael Vick and Landry Jones. Roethlisberger came back earlier this month only to sprain his ankle against the Oakland Raiders, missing the final quarter of that victory.

The following week, Roethlisberger was slated to be the backup against the Cleveland Browns before being pressed into duty when Jones was hurt in the first quarter.

The Steelers are currently sitting outside the AFC playoff picture, falling behind both the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans in the wild card race. All three teams have the same 6-5 mark, but Pittsburgh loses out to Kansas City on a head-to-head tiebreaker, while Houston has e superior conference record.

Pittsburgh has a favorable schedule down the stretch, traveling to Cleveland and Baltimore along with hosting the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts. There is also a road date with the Cincinnati Bengals.
