Marlana VanHoose has cerebral palsy and is blind, but can own The Star-Spangled Banner better than most anyone

Marlana VanHoose has been fighting her entire life; she was born with a virus that left her blind and was diagnosed with a mild case of cerebral palsy at age 2. However, her fight and her struggle hasn’t done anything to rob the 19-year-old of her angelic singing voice.

Prior to the kickoff of Monday Night Football between the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns, VanHoose took the stage to sing The Star-Spangled Banner. In a moment that will send chills up the spine of anyone listening, the teenager belted it out to near perfection, completely owning the National Anthem:

"Marlana just rocked it. #MNF https://t.co/ttXyM8yB1e— Jeremy Zimmer (@jeremyjzimmer) December 1, 2015"

There’s no way to hear that and not feel inspired for more reason than one.

This isn’t the first time that VanHoose has taken center stage of the sporting world to sing the National Anthem. VanHoose sang at the 2015 NBA Finals as well, in addition to a number of other major sporting events.

If you walk away from seeing VanHoose absolutely rock The Star-Spangled Banner with a good feeling in your heart or feeling like you can’t run through a wall, you might want to go get your pulse checked. Also, I guarantee that, with the Browns and the Ravens playing, nothing on Monday Night Football will be more impressive than Marlana’s rendition of the National Anthem.
