With their win over the Eagles on Saturday night, the Washington Redskins are playoff bound.

Prior to the 2015 NFL season getting underway, there were few people that believed this Washington Redskins team had a shot at the playoffs. The quarterback situation seemed all over the place and there were still some pieces on this team that were missing. Really, the Redskins were one of the last teams that you would have picked to earn a shot at the Super Bowl.

Well, as this crazy season would have it, the NFC East was all over the place, especially with the injuries the Dallas Cowboys have suffered through, the team that was the consensus pick to win this division. On Saturday night, though, this crazy NFC East race came to an end when the Redskins took down the Philadelphia Eagles on the road.

Yes, folks, again just let it soak in — the Washington Redskins are playoff bound.

Now, can they do any damage? Well, if you’re one of the teams that make it into the fold, anything really is possible. If Kirk Cousins can play some sound football under center, then sure, they might be able to make some noise. We’ve seen time and time again this year that the Redskins can really get things rolling when Cousins is playing some of his best football; that’s really one of the reasons that he was given the nod over Robert Griffin III in the first place.

We’re going to see rather soon when the playoffs start in a few weeks, but after the events of Saturday night, the Redskins cemented themselves as the team that will be representing the NFC East.
