David Beckham took to Instagram on Monday to lend his support for his former teammate and new Real Madrid head coach, Zinedine Zidane.

Few know Real Madrid’s new head coach, Zinedine Zidane, better than his former teammate David Beckham. The Englishman spent three seasons plying his trade with Zidane at Real Madrid, before Zidane retired after the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

On Monday, with the club formally announcing the decision to fire Rafa Benitez and replace him with Zidane, Beckham took to his Instagram account to give his support to the French legend.

Zidane won’t have much time to make many adjustments with the squad, as Los Blancos are in action on Saturday against Deportivo La Coruna. However, the Frenchman is taking over the bench during the January transfer window, which means that the club can potentially bring in players that will suit the style that Zidane wants his club to play.

Real Madrid currently sit third in the La Liga table, with 37 points from 18 matches.
