A.J. McCarron was strip-sacked and the Pittsburgh Steelers are taking control.

The Pittsburgh Steelers needed help to make the National Football League playoffs. Now that they are here, the Steelers seem hellbent on staying here. On Saturday night, Pittsburgh is beating the Cincinnati Bengals and could extend the lead thanks to this strip-sack of A.J. McCarron.

While Cam Thomas was ruled down and the subsequent touchdown would not stand, it seems to set up a very nice second half for the Steelers. McCarron has not been able to get anything going at Paul Brown Stadium in the driving rain, playing like the inexperienced player that he is.

Should the Steelers win, they would advance to take on the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon at Sports Authority Field next weekend. It would also send the Kansas City Chiefs to take on the New England Patriots, after they crushed the Houston Texans earlier in the day, 30-0.

Pittsburgh has to be considered a very dangerous team because of an offense that includes Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, Markus Wheaton and Martavis Bryant. The defense has been terrific on Saturday as well, so maybe that is progress.
