Steve Sarkisian texted Alabama OC Lane Kiffin plays during their Cotton Bowl game against Michigan State.

Steve Sarkisian isn’t currently coaching, but the former USC Trojan isn’t sitting on the sidelines simply spectating. Apparently Sarkisian texted Alabama Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin during the Goodyear Cotton Bowl to give him some plays to run against Michigan State.

It certainly is bizarre and interesting that Sarkisian would do that. Unfortunately, we might not ever find out if those plays were used, but it’d be fascinating to find out if he did use the plays or at the very least were they good?

But Alabama is always open to outside consulting from coaches, like former Orgeon and Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly. He visited with Alabama ahead of their clash with Clemson.

In the end, hopefully Sarkisian gets to a place where he can get back to coaching in some capacity.
