The Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Clemson Tigers, 45-40, to win the 2015 National Championship. Here are the five keys to Alabama’s 16th title to date.

The Alabama Crimson Tide did just enough to edge out the Clemson Tigers to win a marvelous shootout in the Arizona desert Monday night, as the Tide went on to win their 16th National Championship on the gridiron in school history, the fourth of the Nick Saban era in Tuscaloosa (2007-present).

This game featured high-octane offense, great defensive stops, and quirky, yet effective special teams plays. College football got what it wanted as clearly the two best teams in the nation duked it out for a National Championship at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on January 11th, 2016.

It took everything both teams had, but Alabama had just a bit more than Clemson, edging out the Tigers 45-40 in the finals of the 2015 College Football Playoff. The SEC’s national title drought ended after two brief seasons with the Tide coming out on top on Monday night.

With so much action going on in all three phases of the game, here are the five biggest keys for the 16th National Championship in school history for the University of Alabama.
