The end of the Chargers in San Diego is near, as the team will announce it’s move to Los Angeles later this week.

It seemed like only a matter of time before the Chargers announced their move to Los Angeles, and it appears that time will come next week. Despite biding their time in the wake of the Rams move from St. Louis to Los Angeles, the Chargers will indeed announce the move soon which allows them to get a head start on season ticket sales in their new home.

According to Jason La Canfora, the Chargers will make their move to Los Angeles official next week.

This isn’t hardly surprising at all, in fact it’s exactly what we were all expecting. When the Rams moved to Los Angeles last week, the announcement came earmarked with room for the Chargers to join in if and when they wanted. What this all actually happens to be is unreal cruelty to fans in San Diego, who were basically given false hope to cling to in believing no immediate announcement meant the possibility of no announcement and move at all.

As it turns out, the Chargers were just scoping options, and staying put in San Diego wasn’t among their best interests. The announcement isn’t official, but this is basically like knowing your wife is going to divorce so you stop checking the mail to avoid getting the papers.

The Chargers are moving to Los Angeles to share a stadium with the Rams, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it at this point.
