A look at how to watch the Royal Rumble pay-per-view and the match card for the show.

Sunday night will feature the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, which is WWE’s first big show of the year. It will be headlined by five championship matches.

Usually, the Royal Rumble match is used to determine the No. 1 Contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. However, Vince McMahon made the announcement on the Jan. 4 episode of Monday Night Raw that Roman Reigns would have to defend the belt against 29 other Superstars in the Rumble. This is the first time the champion will have to put his title up in this battle royal match.

Then on the Jan. 18 episode of Raw, Reigns was announced as the No. 1 entrant for the match, meaning he will have to go the distance to secure his title. He will have to go through roadblocks, though, like Brock Lesnar or the potential return of Triple H. Will the former Shield man be able to fend everyone off to walk out as champion?

Another significant match on the Royal Rumble card is Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens in a Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. These two have feuded for the past few months with the Lunatic Fringe getting the upper hand on KO multiple times. Will Owens be able to incapacitate Ambrose to win back the title?

Charlotte and Becky Lynch are also set to battle for the WWE Divas Championship. Their story has arguably been the best one on Raw and SmackDown with the Nature Girl turning heel and Lynch becoming a great babyface. Can the Irishwoman win her first title in WWE?

Also set for Royal Rumble is Alberto Del Rio vs. Kalisto for the WWE United States Championship. The title has been traded back and forth over the past two weeks, but will the Lucha Dragon be able to win again?

With this in mind, check out the match card for the show and how to watch it.
