A tumultuous day for Johnny Manziel has come to an end with Dallas police seemingly closing the file on him.

It was a day to forget for Johnny Manziel. Instead of getting a fresh lease on life after a forgettable spell in Cleveland, multiple reports surfaced of him threatening to kill both himself and his ex-girlfriend.

After Manziel denied it ever happening, the Dallas police have seemingly closed the book on his case.

This is sure to go over well with anyone who has a soul. That being said, Manziel was never arrested and wasn’t initially charged with anything. This report has also been something the Dallas PD has known about — same with the NFL — so it’s really only just coming to light to the public.

Of course, with Manziel expected to be released by the Browns, many have offered the Cowboys as a potential destination for him to go and clean up his act. After this incident, he’s unlikely to be viewed in a positive light in Dallas — or anywhere else for that matter.

It begs the question of whether he’ll even have a starting job in the NFL next season or ever again. He’s proven unable to move on from the past and exhibit any level of maturity.
