Avery Bradley sunk a 3-point buzzer beater to steal a win in Cleveland.

The Boston Celtics were not expected to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, especially on the road, but they were able to play them tight throughout. When it came down to the final possession on Friday night, the Celtics were able to win the ball back and drew up a magnificent play resulting in Avery Bradley hitting the 3-pointer at the very last second. Brad Stevens showed why he’s a dark horse for coach of the year:

"Avery Bradley for the @celtics win! WOW #CrunchTime #BOSatCLE https://t.co/lF6wakRhwI— NBA TV (@NBATV) February 6, 2016"

The anguish in the Cavaliers announcers is what really makes the play. And speaking of biased sports personalities, let’s check in on Bill Simmons shall we?

Yup… just as I thought.

For the Cavaliers, this is an absolutely awful spot to be in. For a team that was, and still is, considered the best team in the East has to look over their shoulders now. They’ve lost two in a row while the Raptors’ win in Portland last night puts them just a game and a half back for first in the East. They can’t afford to drop games like this anymore, because if they do, heads will roll in Cleveland.

It cannot be stressed how important of a win this was for the Celtics, meanwhile. It puts them at 30-22 and, in a log-jammed Eastern Conference, that’s good enough for fourth place and a tie with the Hawks. There’s no telling how the East’s playoff picture will shape out meaning that the games after the All-Star break will be some of the most crucial down the stretch.
