It’s no secret that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is really competitive. What he does to deal with failure might surprise you though.

Jerry Jones did not enjoy attending a Super Bowl that didn’t include his Dallas Cowboys. In fact, he has to go to pretty weird lengths to deal with the pain of his NFL franchise’s failure.

Jones admitted to a local media outlet that he actually has to scream in his pillow at night when he gets home to handle his frustrations. That’s pretty strange behavior for anyone, especially a successful billionaire. Someone might want to introduce Jerry to yoga or something. At worst, you’d think he could show up to AT&T Stadium and watch a movie on his giant big screen to wind down.

The good news for Jones it that there is some reasonable hope that the Cowboys could enjoy a bounce-back season. Tony Romo should be back as their franchise quarterback, and they also have the 4th pick in the NFL Draft to bolster their roster. It may not be enough to get them all the way to the Super Bowl, but it should allow them to improve on a pretty poor 2016 season.

If they aren’t able to improve, it might be really bad news for Jerry Jones’ pillows. He might have to continue screaming into them until he’s able to draft a Romo replacement that can stay healthy for an entire NFL season.

Until then, ignore any screaming that comes from the Jerry Jones estate each night. It’s just the Cowboys owner’s quirky way of dealing with Super Bowl withdrawal.
