5 potential trade destinations for Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant’s farewell tour has been fun to watch, and has delivered the NBA a nice side story. Unfortunately for Kobe, his last season in the NBA will not go out on a winning note, as the Los Angeles Lakers sit in last place in the Western Conference at 11 wins and 44 losses. Currently he is putting together a solid season in his 20th year in the NBA, averaging 29.3 minutes per game, 16.9 points per game, 3.4 assists per game, 4.2 rebounds per game, and a .349 shooting percentage.

Everyone knows that Kobe Bryant has the heart of a champion and will do whatever it takes to win. The Lakers front office has made it clear that Kobe will continue to start and be a focal point for the remainder of the season. However, what if Kobe’s desire for one last chance to win a championship overrides his desire to end his career in Los Angeles? What if he were to ask for a trade, with management then deciding to seize this opportunity and gain something in return?

Championship contending teams would have to consider the idea of acquiring the all-time great. One last playoff run would create a media frenzy and, viewership would assuredly go up with Kobe in the playoffs. With that being said, here are five potential trade destinations for Kobe Bryant.
