A surveillance tape of the alleged Johnny Manziel domestic abuse incident has surfaced.

The legend of Johnny Football has decayed at a rapid pace over the course of the last year — specifically over the course of the last month.

In late January, Manziel was involved in an incident in which he allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley. Crowley gave her account of the night — which is horrifying — to Dallas PD but no charges were filed at that time. While it seemed like the case was closed, it appears that the existence of a surveillance tape of the incident might change things.

According to ESPN, the Dallas Police Department has a surveillance tape of the incident.

"Police did not specify the nature of the video, but the footage is from the Hotel ZaZa in Dallas, which is where Colleen Crowley alleged the assault began, a source familiar with the investigation told ESPN."

Here’s the official statement from the Dallas PD:

It’s worth noting that no matter what we’ve heard about this case or the personal feelings we may have — Manziel is technically innocent. Legally, as of right now, Manziel has not been charged with anything and is not in trouble with the law. Everything he has done to this point is alleged — which is key.

But the court of public opinion has already executed Mazniel for what we think he did. The existence of this surveillance tape is going to either confirm the worst or clear Manziel. One of those two things will happen, and this tape will hopefully give us a conclusion to this ugly incident.
