The Dallas Cowboys are open to trading the No. 4 pick in the NFL Draft.

We are just around the corner from the NFL Draft, and already we’re hearing rumors about which team might do what. When it comes to the to of the draft order, there are always trade rumors surrounding teams that might trade down. Frankly, it’s hard to not entertain the idea of a trade if you have a top pick, as teams will pay a premium to move up into your spot.

Of course, most teams want to ensure the guy they want won’t be available if they trade down, and you can count the Dallas Cowboys among the teams pondering the thought of a trade down.

According to a recent report, the Cowboys are willing to trade down in the NFL Draft but won’t trade below the Giants at No. 10 overall.

"I’m told Dallas would consider trading down, but wants to stay ahead of the 10th selection, presently owned by the New York Giants."

Dallas badly wants to draft Jalen Ramsey with their selection, but fear that he won’t be there when thy go on the clock. If Ramsey isn’t there, the doesn’t automatically mean the Cowboys will be trading down, as they are still eyeing Ohio State stars Joey Bosa and Eziekel Elliot.

Even if Ramsey is gone, the Cowboys drafting one of those two Ohio State players makes a ton of sense, so it’s not as though a trade is a foregone conclusion. But if Dallas is even implying that the fourth overall pick can be bought at the right price, that’s all the motivation teams below them need to try and move up.
