Ravens defensive back Tray Walker was critically injured in a motorcycle crash on Thursday
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tray Walker was critically injured in a motorcycle crash on Thursday, NBC in Miami is reporting. Walker was taken to a nearby trauma center where he is currently in critical condition.
The crash took place in the Miami-Dade area, where Walker attended high school. There’s no more information about the crash, but police are expected to release more details as time moves along.
Walker was selected by the Ravens in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Texas Southern with the 136th overall pick. During his time at Texas Southern, Walker was named Second Team All-SWAC and totaled 159 tackles at the school with 112 solo.
Last season for the Ravens, Walker appeared in eight games as a rookie and tallied just two tackles, but he was clearly trying to work himself into the fold as one of the up-and-coming defensive stars for an organization that prides itself on defense.
Now, though, he appears to have a long road of recovery ahead of him, and as more becomes available about this incident, we will be sure to keep you updated.
