Is Saturday Night Live on tonight or is it another re-run episode?

It’s the weekend, which means it’s time for Saturday Night Live — or is it?

The show airs in spurts during its season, as it has three new episodes before taking a break to re-charge. This weekend is the last weekend of the most recent recharge period for the show, which means there will be no new episode on.

The next new episode will feature Game of Thrones actor Peter Dinklage and it promises to be another stellar installment to what has been a great bounce back season for SNL. But we will have to wait another week for that, as Dinklage won’t be coming to SNL until April 2nd — which means that will be when we get the next new episode of the show.

In the meantime, we’re getting two episode of SNL tonight. The first will air in primetime and is a throwback to when John McCain visited the show in the mid-2000s. The re-run that airs in the usual SNL time slot will feature host Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Kanye West from Valentine’s Day this year.
