1. New York Knicks

The New York Knicks are one of the teams in the NBA that will be desperate to land a point guard in free agency this offseason, as they are looking to complete the puzzle. There has been a lot of debate to whether or not Rondo would fit in the Knicks’ triangle offense, but there is no denying that he would be a huge upgrade at the position.

Carmelo Anthony is beginning to his window close for winning a championship, as injuries have begun to mount for the All-Star. The Knicks got a huge boost to their rebuild when they selected Kristaps Porzingis in the 2015 NBA Draft. Players are going to want to play alongside Porzingis for years to come, as he has the potential to be one of the most unique talents in the NBA.

The Knicks may not be a playoff team this season, but if they are able to add Rondo in addition to another year of development for Porzingis, they would be on the path to becoming one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. The uncertainty about who will be the coach for the Knicks next season could affect the decision of free agents, but Rondo would be a good fit for the Knicks next season.
