Kobe Bryant never failed to provide entertainment for Lakers fans and basketball fans alike in his final game, and social media became inaccessible.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, who is now officially retired, captivated the entire sports world in the final game of his career. He broke the Internet and the Lakers’ Twitter account with his 60-point performance as he single-handedly carried the Lakers to a comeback victory over the Utah Jazz.

The Lakers’ Twitter account was nowhere to be seen during the game, but the team did not fail to pay tribute to their retired star after his historic performance.

"Yup, this happened. #ThankYouKobehttps://t.co/BBxxjm1Fpn— Los Angeles Lakers (@Lakers) April 14, 2016"

Bryant’s last game was one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year, but even the most die-hard Lakers fans could not have seen this type of performance coming from the future Hall of Famer. The Lakers legend capped off his 20-year career with 23 points in the fourth quarter, and the Lakers rallied after facing a double-digit point deficit.

It remains to be seen who will be the next Lakers star, but it will be difficult for them or any other team to find another player of Bryant’s caliber. They will more than likely hold a top-three draft pick though, which will enable them to continue building a young core that already consists of point guard D’Angelo Russell and power forward Julius Randle.
