No. 2 – San Francisco 49ers

It seems that throughout the whole process of free agency and draft preps since the end of the 2015 regular season, the 49ers have had their names smack dab at the front of the conversation when it comes to the quarterback spot.

However, it’s usually been about getting rid of a signal caller as the team is still trying to figure out what to do with the most important spot on the field. With new coach Chip Kelly having been the coach of the Eagles and Sam Bradford last season, it would be delicious irony if the two reunited out by the Bay.

The biggest problem for the 49ers is that, if they do part ways with Colin Kaepernick, the three other quarterbacks on their roster are (please, hold your laughter) Blaine Gabbert, Thad Lewis and Dylan Thompson. If that doesn’t scare the heck out of fans and the front office in San Francisco, it should.

Sam Bradford would provide the same type of quarterback that Kaepernick has been with the 49ers, so if they are the same type of player that Kelly wants, you might as well go with someone you know.
