A video showing new Miami Dolphins tackle Laremy Tunsil smoking pot out of a gas mask will end up costing him millions in potential salary.

By now, it’s become the “Bong Hit Heard Around The World” after a video was released just minutes before the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft showing former Ole Miss Rebels tackle Laremy Tunsil (considered to be one of the top prospects) smoking marijuana out of a bong attached to a gas mask.

Tunsil would end up going from being a top pick all the way down to 13th, where he was selected by the Miami Dolphins. He would later admit that it was him in the video, saying it happened years ago and apologized for it (with Tunsil saying his Twitter account was hacked, resulting in its publication).

As it turns out, that one bong hit could end up costing Laremy Tunsil a lot more than just the trust of some Dolphins fans and those around the league. Based on the figures for last year’s sixth overall pick (where Tunsil had been projected entering the night) and the 13th pick, Tunsil is going to lose millions:

It should be noted that the two players last season played different positions, as the New York Jets selected defensive tackle Leonard Williams and the New Orleans Saints picked offensive tackle Andrus Peat.

The Baltimore Ravens, who picked sixth this year, did pick an offensive tackle in former Notre Dame Fighting Irish star Ronnie Stanley — so it will be interesting to see how the two players at the same position will get paid out.

Laremy Tunsil also drew attention after the draft when, after being asked by a reporter, he confirmed that he had received money from members of the Ole Miss coaching staff. The school, currently being investigated by the NCAA over such allegations, says it will examine Tunsil’s comments to see if there is any truth.
