Here is Colts GM Ryan Grigson selected in the 2016 NFL Draft

Round 1 (18)- Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama

Round 2 (57) T.J. Green, S, Clemson

Round 3 (82) Le’Raven Clark, T, Texas Tech

Round 4 (116) Hassan Ridgeway, DT, Texas

Round 4 (125) Antonio Morrison, LB, Florida

Round 5 (155) Joe Haeg, T, North Dakota ST

Round 7 (239) Trevor Bates, LB, Maine

Round 7 (248) Austin Blythe, C, Iowa

The Indianapolis Colts haven’t been super active during free agency. Their big signing was giving Tight End Dwayne Allen an extension. They made a ton of changes to their coaching staff on both sides of the ball.

For the Colts, it’s simple; Keep Andrew Luck upright and functional. If they do that, then they can make the playoffs and once you get in, you never know what can happen.

The Colts are certainly trying to do that as they went only offensive lineman for their offensive picks in the draft. Kelly should be starting from day one at center. Clark is someone who could be given every chance as well. Haeg is someone they can develop. Blythe was a four year starter at Iowa where he played center and guard, so he gives the Colts depth at both spots.

Green ran a 4.3 in the 40 yard dash at the combine, and could play corner for the Colts. Ridgeway and Morrison fit right in to the 34 scheme. Bates is a developmental player, who could contribute on special teams.

The Colts are going to pay Andrew Luck a ton of money and they went into the draft looking to upgrade the offensive line and add to the defense. Mission accomplished.
