Leicester City has won the Premier League after Tottenham drew with Chelsea on Monday.

History has been made, as Leicester City has done the impossible and won the Premier League. They were 5000/1 odds at the beginning of the season to win the league, but after one of the most insane seasons we’ve ever seen, they’ve managed to clinch a league title with as many as two games left in the season.

While Leicester City didn’t set foot on the pitch on Monday, they were able to claim their league title thanks to a comeback effort by Chelsea in their match against Tottenham. In order to stave off the inevitability that Leicester would win the league, the Spurs needed to win the final three games of their season to even have half a chance of catching the league leaders.

They drew with Chelsea on Monday which means the league is officially Leicester’s.

Here’s a look at the updated EPL table after Sunday’s action:

This is one of the most incredible underdog stories we’ve ever seen in the history of sports, as this is the type of story that we go the cliche route and say it can’ the scripted — but that’s probably never been truer. For more Soccer coverage, be sure to visit our hub page.
