Updated NBA Playoffs Bracket: Eastern Conference Finals

Looking at the updated NBA Playoffs bracket after the Cavaliers advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals

The Cleveland Cavaliers, despite making it to the NBA Finals last season, entered the 2016 NBA Playoffs as somewhat of a wildcard. Without question, they boasted more talent on their roster than most other teams in the league, but the real question was whether or not they would be able to put all of the pieces together. You would think that the Atlanta Hawks could attest to the fact that the Cavaliers most definitely have.

After dispatching the Detroit Pistons with a sweep in Round 1, everyone suspected that the Hawks would have the talent and ability to at least take a game or two from the Cavaliers. Unfortunately for Atlanta, that just wasn’t in the card for these 2016 NBA Playoffs. The Cavs crushed them in the first two games of the series and then went on the road and showed perseverance to pick up two more wins and complete another sweep.

LeBron James and the Cavaliers have now won eight consecutive games in the NBA Playoffs and now have their eyes on the Eastern Conference Finals. Here’s a look at the updated 2016 NBA Playoffs bracket after the Cavs advanced.

Now the Cavaliers will have to wait for the conclusion of the series between the Miami Heat and the Toronto Raptors to see who they face in the Eastern Conference Finals, a series that’s getting crazier by the second due to injuries.
