According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Memphis Grizzlies have offered their head coaching job to Miami Heat assistant David Fizdale.

After head coach David Joerger left the Memphis Grizzlies for the Sacramento Kings, the Grizzlies have been really judicious about their head coaching process and have been hoping to land the right man that will keep the team competitive in the Western Conference.

After they lost out to the Orlando Magic for the services of Frank Vogel, it looks like the Grizzlies have found their man. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Grizzlies have offered their head coaching job to Miami Heat assistant coach David Fizdale.

Fizdale has been an assistant for a long time in the league and he had been with the Heat since 2008. He has certainly paid his dues as an assistant in this league and hasn’t been rushed to being head coach like some others have.

With a wealth of experience and being around the best players in the league, Fizdale should be ready to take his turn as the man in Memphis and will have some core pieces to work around.

Despite his years as an assistant this league, he’s still fairly young at 41 years old.
