The Baylor Bears are starting to lose players from their sexual assault scandal, as five-star offensive lineman Patrick Hudson wants out of his commitment.

The Baylor Bears are facing some serious allegations amidst their sexual assault scandal and subsequent cover up. Head football coach Art Briles has been fired and university president Ken Starr has been at the moment re-assigned.

It was only a matter of time before a 2016 commitment to the Power 5 behemoth would ask to be released from his National Letter of Intent. The first player to want out of his Baylor commitment just so happens to be five-star offensive guard Patrick Hudson of Silsbee, Texas.

Hudson committed to Baylor on February 3rd, 2016 over in-state rivals Texas and Texas A&M. He was the No. 50 overall player in the country, the No. 2 offensive guard in his class, and the No. 7 player in the State of Texas.

Outside of those three Texas schools, Hudson looked at the Georgia Bulldogs, the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Oklahoma Sooners, the LSU Tigers, and the Alabama Crimson Tide. If Hudson does choose to leave to Baylor, it seems increasingly likely that he will try to sign with one of those powerhouses either in the Big 12 or the SEC.

At 6’5.5″, 235 pounds, what type of offense Hudson will want to play in will have a huge impact on where he will supposedly commit to if allowed to get out of his Baylor commitment.

Hudson could go to schools that run an Air Raid like he was going to at Baylor like Oklahoma, or he could go to a school with great offensive line teachers like Les Miles at LSU, Bret Bielema at Arkansas, or Sam Pittman at Georgia.

Either way, losing Hudson would be a huge recruitment loss for Baylor as well as a huge gain for conceivably the other seven schools that headlined his recruitment last recruiting cycle.
