Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala will start Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

After Andre Iguodala started the second half of Game 6 for the Golden State Warriors against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Warriors are deciding that they need to stick with Iguodala to begin with win Game 7 on Monday night.

The Warriors officially announced before Game 7 on Monday night, that Iguodala would be starting in place of Harrison Barnes. It’s clear that with the biggest game of the year on the line and Iguodala having come up huge in these instances before for Golden State, that they feel steady with him in the starting lineup.

With Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook both likely to have big games and try to go off as much as possible, the Warriors are going to want Iguodala in the game for his defense and his ability to change momentum in the game.

Time and time again, Iguodala has made big plays for the Warriors in these playoffs and this move is reminiscent of the one Steve Kerr made in the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers last year.
