The NBA has suspended Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green for Game 5 of the NBA Finals and Twitter blew up over the decision.

After the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in game 4 of the NBA Finals on Friday night, the expectation was that they could head home for Game 5 and not have to worry about anything other than taking care of business on their home floor.

That isn’t going to be the case for the Warriors. On Saturday, Marc J. Spears reported that the NBA was reviewing the incident between Green and Cavaliers superstar LeBron James during the fourth quarter of Game 4.

Upon review, it looked like Green had struck James in the groin. The league would assess Green with a Flagrant 1, which triggered the suspension. Now, the Warriors won’t have their best defender with a chance to win the NBA Finals.

As expected after a controversial decision, Twitter blew up over the whole thing.

The tweets range from conspiracy to people being elated that Green is suspended. With two polarizing figures in the NBA involved in an incident together, the entire situation is a divisive one.

The NBA once again was put between a rock and a hard spot and they finally nabbed Green for his infractions. Was it the right move?
