Cavaliers forward Richard Jefferson has called Warriors guard Klay Thompson out for making some contradictory comments.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors are set to play their 12th NBA Finals Game against each other in the last two years on Thursday night. With that many games on the biggest stage in back-to-back years, emotions are going to boil over and guys are going to get tired of each other on the basketball court.

Already this series, guys have been mixing it up on the court, a player has been suspended and there has been plenty of trash talking between both sides. One of the biggest statements came in this series, when Klay Thomspon called out LeBron James for reacting to Draymond Green’s trash talking and said that this is a “man’s league.”

Well those comments have apparently irked Cavaliers forward Richard Jefferson, who thinks Thompson is contradicting himself because of the fact that he complained about a knee from Timofey Mozgov. In an interview with The Vertical’s Chris Mannix, Jefferson let his feelings be known.

"“If it’s a man’s game, shut up about the [illegal screen],” Jefferson told The Vertical. “Or don’t say anything about LeBron. Klay, he’s like my little brother. But we can’t contradict ourselves.”"

Jefferson certainly isn’t wrong on this one. It’s one thing for Thompson to make his comments about James, but it’s another thing to say them after he had just spent effort and energy into making Mozgov’s knee look like a dirty play.

If it really is a “man’s league” as Thompson put it, then he probably wouldn’t have insinuated what he did about his injury. At the same time, these two teams have battled in so many big games now, that this has turned into a great rivalry between the two.
