In promoting their football program and head coach Urban Meyer, Ohio State tweeted a picture and quote from former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow.

In four seasons as a college football quarterback, Tim Tebow set records, won awards and brought home two national titles while becoming the poster boy for every suburban fan of the sport who liked his wholesome attitude and appearance. Those four years with the Florida Gators made him a name that will stay in the college football conversation for years to come.

So, it would be no surprise that one top college program is using Tebow’s likeness and a quote to try and sell their program. But it isn’t his alma mater in Gainesville — it’s the one that is now run by his former college coach, Urban Meyer.

That’s right, the Ohio State Buckeyes sent out this on their official Twitter account to try and get recruits to come and play for the school:

So let’s break down what’s wrong with this whole thing. First off, Tebow never stepped foot in the state of Ohio during his time in college. Second, the Buckeyes are just one year removed from winning a national title, so why not use a player like Joey Bosa or Ezekiel Elliott in the same campaign since both have also played for Meyer.

Finally, Tebow and the Gators won the first of those titles he is talking about in that quote about Meyer…BY BEATING THE BUCKEYES BY 27 POINTS IN THE BCS CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! I’m pretty sure the last person fans of the school want to see is that face — and, well, maybe Charles Woodson would be worse. But Tebow is a close second.
