Jim Harbaugh is the master of pandering to recruits with his wardrobe choices.
In case you didn’t know, Michigan Wolverines head football coach Jim Harbaugh is two things: a really weird dude, and sitting at the pinnacle of dad fashion.
Before getting into Harbaugh’s latest headline-making wardrobe decision where he wore a Kobe Bryant shirsey, here’s a relatively comprehensive list of weird and awesome things Jim Harbaugh has done:
- Hit a home run off a tee in a home run derby and dabbed.
- Got on stage with rap group Migos and dabbed. He’s a rapper now, for all intents and purposes.
- Got in a wrestling match with a recruit.
- Went ringside at a WWE match.
- Went over to a recruit’s house to Netflix and chill.
- Climbed a different recruit’s tree during a game of catch.
- Planned a sleepover with yet another recruit.
Harbaugh is a random headline generator. If there wasn’t video and photo proof of him wearing gold chains, his Michigan sweatshirt, his Michigan hat, and khakis dabbing on stage with Migos, I wouldn’t believe you if you told me.
Lately, Harbaugh has taken a different recruiting strategy to his satellite camps. Wearing jerseys or shirseys of famous athletes tucked into his khakis while he talks to the recruits. Here he is in an Allen Iverson jersey. Here he is in a Hank Aaron jersey. Arguably his most strategic jersey choice was the time he wore a Cal Ripken jersey in Baltimore.
Now, Harbaugh is wearing a Kobe Bryant shirsey in Los Angeles.
Harbaugh is an expert at subliminal messages, recruiting, and doing whatever the heck he wants whenever he wants. I just have one question: couldn’t have gone with the No. 24 Kobe Jersey, coach?
